A Twisted Kind of Love
This collection of short stories explores dysfunctional aspects of a multitude of relationships. We meet a woman whose ambition overrides the wellbeing of the one she claims to love; a man with an unusual solution to his fear that his wife will leave him; and a youth who falls for someone dangerously unsuitable. Some of the stories consider parent-child bonds, such as the teenager who is determined to find out about his father, whatever the consequences. Professional caring relationships also find their place here; we hear, for example, about a teacher concerned for the safety of one of her pupils.
Those who mistake possessiveness or submission for love, those who hold too close, and those who gaze from afar: all of these and more find their place within this collection.
